In perfumery, milk lactone adds a fresh, watery note to floral bouquets, especially in rose accords. It is also useful in enhancing the freshness of grassy or anise top-notes.
Dosage in flavors can go up to 25 ppm in finished consumer product.
Dosage in fragrances can vary from 0,3 up to 5%.
